A data analytics product manager who still talks in P&L
Joe Kawa is a fractional data product manager and data consultant. He has spent 9+ years delivering data analytics solutions and strategies for B2B SaaS organizations — warehouse programs, embedded reporting, partner data products, and AI analytics — after starting his career in business intelligence and merchandise planning.
Hiring organizations bring Joe in when analytics is supposed to grow revenue, cut cost, or become a product — and there is no dedicated data product manager to own that outcome. He has done the work inside companies ranging from Fortune 50 to small businesses with a handful of employees.
At Daxko he runs data warehouse, reporting, and dashboard strategy across the product suite. That includes a $250k Snowflake implementation, data governance workflows with data contracts, embedded dashboards used by 100k+ daily active users, a YMCA of the USA reporting integration for 500+ customers, tooling consolidation that reduced cost by more than $500k a year, and AI-powered analytics that created incremental ARR.
Earlier, at VelocityEHS, he took a reporting integration from zero to 80 customers and a $1M+ pipeline in nine months, and launched embedded analytics for 200k users across seven product lines. At Fiserv he grew a data analytics product 30% month over month after a major upgrade and cut 200 hours a month of month-end reporting toil.
The earlier Hayneedle years still show up in how he works: he learned to forecast, defend inventory investment, and define metrics that finance would actually use. That is the posture he brings as a fractional data product manager and data governance lead.
Outside client and product work he builds with coding agents — Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Lovable — because the next generation of analytics products will be specified and shipped that way.
